Types of Backlinks
Reference Backlinks: These are for example when someone links (from their website) to a very good guide, or data set (on your website) because they found it useful and want to refrence it. Fpr example somone is writing an article or study and links to a statistical data on your site to back his or her claim. Editorial Backlinks: These happen naturally when another website mentions you in their content just because what you have is valuable and relevant. Let's say someone is talking about SEO and mentions URL structure, or productivity tools and mentions Kanban. Then links to your article on your website.
Directional Backlinks: These guide users to your site because they're looking for something specific that you offer. For example, sailor fountain pens in Shrewsbury.
Referral Backlinks: These come from satisfied customers or partners who link to your site after a positive experience. For example, I bought
